Challenge

The SELBEUM studio was commissioned to create an interior of a family home in Lucerne, Switzerland. The two-storey house is located on a coast of the spectacular lake of the same name. The fascinating view through the panoramic windows defined the approach to the interior.

The brief was to connect the interior with the outdoor and create an impactful yet warm interior. To highlight the link with nature, designers expertly chose specific shapes and natural colours. The interior is full of light and artistic vibes.

Surrender to the Nature
The indoor and outdoor spaces of this gracious, relaxing waterfront house are perfect for intimate and family gatherings. The interior is filled out with individually created furniture pieces and items. The dining room is clad in wooden paneling to create the sense harmony with nature.

    Live in Stillness
    The furniture is an eclectic mix of French antiques, vintage modern collectibles, and craft contemporary pieces. Color palette is very delicate with pastel tones in the upholstery and the contemporary art. The residence ties in the natural surrounding with the tailored details of the furnishings to harmoniously create a chic and tranquil atmosphere.
